Diwali decoration doesn't need to be elaborate to feel festive — a few well-chosen handmade pieces at the doorway do more than a house full of disposable decorations.
A toran across the doorframe is the single highest-impact piece you can add. Pearl or lokar torans in gold and maroon tones work well against most door colours, and a mahirap above the door adds height without crowding the entrance.
